Proxomitron is a flexible HTTP web filtering proxy that enables you to filter web content in any browser. The program runs as a local proxy server and you need to configure your browser to use a localhost at port 8080 in order to activate the filtering. Proxomitron allows you to remove and replace ad banners, Java scripts, off-site images, Flash animations, background images, frames and many other page elements. You can also add, delete or change HTTP headers. All the Proxomitron filters can be customized and edited to your needs.
